Historic Preservation Projects

Russell is no stranger to the complexities involved with performing work for historic preservation construction work. We have the perfect recipe with our historic building restoration experience, more than $110MM completed at colleges and universities, and local market knowledge in Quad Cities, St. Louis, and Kansas City.

Partnerships are often a part of the historical preservation process.

To ensure the 1881 First Army Headquarters, Building 68 at the Rock Island Arsenal met all requirements for the National Building Historical Register, Russell worked in conjunction with the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to guarantee a successful outcome!  

Recently, Russell finalized a historic preservation and restoration of a former YMCA facility in downtown Kansas City, and helped transform it into The Buck O’Neil Education and Research Center. 

Though not all our projects have been placed on the National Registry, all of them required a similar degree of inspections and certifications for design and material selection, and attention to detail. We’ll always go above and beyond for you!
