Russell is an Iowa City general contractor and real estate developer with an office at 24 1/2 S. Clinton Street, opened in 2026 to serve the Iowa City and Cedar Rapids corridor. It’s the newest addition to a company that has been building in Iowa since 1983, with five offices, a team of more than 350, and completed work in 34 states.

Russell built the University of Iowa Stanley Museum of Art, a three-story museum on the Iowa City campus that opened in August 2022 and won a 2023 Master Builders of Iowa Masters Award and an ENR Regional Best Projects award of merit.
Led locally by Vice President of Business Development Tom Banta, our Iowa City team is also a Cedar Rapids general contractor, delivering preconstruction, general contracting, and design build services for higher education and commercial owners across Iowa.
