Ribbon Cutting: Our New Corporate Headquarters
Russell is pleased to announce that we officially cut the ribbon on our brand new corporate headquarters at 4700 E. 53rd Street, Davenport! The intimate ceremony highlighted the enhanced version of Russell and the latest new construction in the Birchwood Fields Office Park.
Our new corporate office, affectionately called “HQ 2.0” by team members, is a result of Lee Enterprises, the parent company of the Quad-City Times and Dispatch-Argus, seeking to relocate into the Birchwood Fields Office Park. Lee Enterprises has since moved in and currently occupies Russell’s previous headquarters, approximately 375 feet away.
The design of the facility, provided by Studio 483 Architects, incorporated various construction elements with a combination of wood, concrete, and steel structural accents. These elements are accentuated as you walk down the main gallery from the entrance of the building to the Board Room, which overlooks the pond. The west side of the building is also designed to incorporate a view of the pond, including a walk-out patio and outdoor access through a garage door from the breakroom (Slainte).
This project showcases the efficient and dynamic working environment of the 22,500 s.f. building. With at least 80% open office space, the desk features, collaboration spaces and casual areas offer flexible options for productivity. Additional conferences spaces, chat rooms, technology upgrades, including a Virtual Design & Construction area, and internal and external entertaining spaces are also observable enhancements.
“This is just literally 20% brighter, bigger, more windows, 20% more people and 20% more floor space,” stated our President and CEO, Jim Russell. “We are growing as a company and our new headquarters helps support the collaborative work environment, we strive to provide to our over 150 employees. We are excited to continue being a part of our Birchwood Fields Office Park and the Quad Cities community”.
Thank you to all of you who joined us to celebrate. None of this would be possible without the support of our clients, partners and of course our valued team members.
We’d also like to thank the Quad-City Times for covering our story! Read the full story HERE.
