Russell served as General Contractor for the new 43,500 s.f. North Scott Community YMCA in Eldridge, IA, transforming a former open lot into a modern recreation and wellness destination.
The two-story facility includes a natatorium with three pools—competition, leisure, and children’s—along with men’s, women’s, and family locker rooms. The first floor also features a full-size basketball court, lounge area, and child watch space. The second floor offers a fitness center with machines, a walking/running track, and a flexible studio for classes or private workouts.
Constructed with precast panels, curtain wall, and storefront systems, the building is equipped with four Trane RTUs and a dedicated Innovent unit for the pool area. BIM coordination ensured precise alignment of all MEPFP systems prior to panel fabrication.
A collaborative effort between the City of Eldridge, North Scott School District, and the YMCA, the facility also serves as the new home for the North Scott swim team.
