This 124,000 s.f. historic six-story building, Ball Park Lofts II, was a historic conversion of building #8, which is part of the historic Cupples Station Warehouse District. The building was converted into 68 loft condos on the upper floors and two floors of retail with part of the first floor converted into a restaurant that maintains its historic features. Cupples Building #8 was originally built during the turn of the 19th century during the height of the railroad expansion. Cupples Station Warehouses were built as a large-scale freight-handling complex where firms were able to concentrate their wholesaling operations which made St Louis more competitive than other cities and a major hub for the transportation of goods. Originally there were 18 buildings, and now only nine stand today. Ball Park Lofts II – Cupples Building #8 is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
