Russell’s new 22,500 s.f. corporate headquarters includes many similar design elements to their previous office space, including an open office concept, collaborative workspaces, exposed ceilings, and extensive daylighting from the wall of glass curtain wall windows. It also includes many updates including additional conference spaces, chat rooms, technology upgrades, and internal and external entertaining spaces.
The design of the facility, provided by Studio 483 Architects, incorporates various construction elements with a combination of wood, concrete, and steel structural accents. These elements are accentuated as you walk down the main gallery from the entrance of the building to the Board Room, which overlooks the pond, located in the Birchwood Fields Office Park. The west side of the building also incorporates a view of the pond, including a walk-out patio and outdoor access from the break room (Sláinte).
Sláinte is a favorite spot in the office; where people host informal meetings, bring clients in for a beverage, or socialize with co-workers. In Gaelic, Sláinte means “cheers to good health”, and there are many toasts of good health to be had in Sláinte.
