Russell’s Kansas City office was selected to provide construction management services to the Gardner-Edgerton School District USD 231.
Grand Star Elementary is a 78,000 s.f. elementary school that is part of a 57-acre including a middle school finished the following year. Features include a commons area that can open to the gym to provide overflow seating for the stage, a grand entry hall, and a cutting-edge media center.
Preconstruction services included design reviews, cost estimating, value engineering and design alternatives, constructability reviews, project and budget definition, bid packages and bidder prequalification, and preconstruction conferences. Â In addition, construction and post-construction phases services were provided.
