Welcome: New Team Members!


We are so excited to announce the addition of EIGHT new team members over the last few months in both our Davenport and St. Louis office!

Eugene Smith

Eugene joined Russell back in October with 35 years of experience in the construction industry. He has been involved in projects ranging from service stations to hospitals to high rise structures, and his experience ranges from pre-construction to project management to field supervision. Eugene was born and raised in Northern Kentucky and is a 1985 graduate of the University of Cincinnati. He is a proud husband, father to seven amazing children and a grandfather. Eugene, his wife, and youngest son reside in Plano, TX and travel back to Northern Kentucky any chance possible to see their children and grandchildren.

Abby Winfree

Abby joined the team back in November as a Project Coordinator. Abby is a Western Illinois University graduate who previously worked for a local print management company. In her free time, you can usually find her with friends and family, hanging out in a coffee shop (Dunn Brothers is her favorite!), or exploring the farmers market on the weekends.

Amanda Wood

Amanda joined us after the first of the year as a Development Manager, focusing primarily in the government leaseback area of our business. Amanda is from the Quad Cities. After graduating from University of Iowa, she started her career in Chicago working for a large commercial real estate company. The past 13 years Amanda has been working as an account manager for a locally-owned manufacturing company. She and her husband have four children between the ages of 5 and 9. Some of her hobbies include baking, staying active and spending time with family and friends.

Brittany Cord

Russell welcomed Brittany Cord in January as the new Russell Facilities Management (RFM) Accountant. Brittany provides leadership over the RFM accounting functions. Over the past 6 years Brittany has been working for a local liquid fertilizer company. Brittany and her husband have a 2 year old boy and own Skate City QCA in East Moline.

DeShawn Johnson

DeShawn Johnson joined the Russell team as a Maintenance Technician for Russell Facilities Management. DeShawn works closely with our preferred vendors on the properties managed by Russell Facilities Management.  Most recently DeShawn worked for a large healthcare provider in Davenport. DeShawn was born and raised in the Quad Cities and is a graduate of Western Illinois University. He is a huge football fan and his favorite team is the Indianapolis Colts.

Dan Cassidy

Dan joins our team as a Project Manager. He is a graduate of Indiana University – Purdue University and has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry.  His extensive experience ranges from $30k equipment moving and installation projects to multiple facility construction programs with program budgets in excess of $130 MM each. Most recently, Dan was a Construction Manager at a large university in Iowa.

Jordan Sanders

Jordan Sanders joined our St. Louis team last week as Sr. Project Manager. Jordan brings over 10 years of construction management experience across a range of industries including healthcare, multi-family and education. He is involved in several organizations, including the Construction Leadership Institute – SIUE and Lean Construction Institute. Jordan is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management.

Simone Sander

Russell welcomes Simone Sander, Proposal Manager, Government Market. Simone joins Russell with 30+ years of experience preparing federal, municipal, and private sector proposals for construction, environmental, engineering, and architectural projects.  Her background also includes drafting, database design, and field work on various construction projects. Simone is originally from Lafayette, LA.  She moved to Austin, TX in the early 80s where she raised her two children. When not working, Simone enjoys playing the piano, creating various art projects, and writing music and short stories.
