Russell Honored at MBI Annual Conference
Safety Awards
Russell recently attended the 2020 Master Builders of Iowa Winter conference, which attracts all aspects of the construction industry. We are excited to announce that during the conference, Russell was awarded two prestigious awards:
- 2020 Outstanding Company Safety Achievement Award for General Contractors
- 2020 Safety Champion Award was awarded to Russell’s Field Leader – Travis Benz
Russell was chosen to receive the Outstanding Company Safety Achievement Award because of how we have positively impacted the safety and health of everyone that works on our projects. Some of the key elements that stood out to the judging committee were our safety leadership, employee participation and engagement in our safety efforts, our safety orientations, safety inspections, site wide safety meetings and our use of technology to improve the effectiveness of our safety performance.
The Safety Champion Award is a newer award that recognizes a “non-safety professional” for their contributions to the safety and health of workers. Travis was chosen because of his strong safety leadership skills and how he engages and mentors’ others on his projects.
Travis Benz is one of Russell’s outstanding Field Leaders with over 18 years of experience. His personal mission is to anticipate and deliver a quality project that meets the client’s needs on time and under budget.
Safety is the number one priority of our company, and it’s with great pride that Russell accepts these outstanding honors. To learn more about the event and each award visit Master Builders of Iowa.
