Russell Completes Acquisition of O'Reilly Build
Russell has completed the acquisition of Springfield, MO-based O’Reilly Build, establishing its fourth office nationwide. This milestone follows Russell’s successful expansions into St. Louis in 2020 and Kansas City in 2022, further strengthening its growing construction and development firm. Backed by Russell’s established processes and broad capabilities, O’Reilly Build brings a boutique approach to construction solutions.
The combined team is already working together on a large housing project in Springfield, Missouri, where a groundbreaking is planned for later this spring. The project represents just the beginning of what the Russell team in Springfield has planned.
One of O’Reilly Build’s founders Steve Monsanto shared, “We are extremely excited to join the Russell team. Russell and O’Reilly Build combining strengthens both teams and benefits our clients. We look forward to serving the Springfield region and beyond with expanded services and a deep bench of talented team members across Russell’s four offices.”
Longstanding relationships with O’Reilly Development’s ownership led to this acquisition; Russell most recently completed senior living community, The Boulevard at St. Peters, for O’Reilly Development, in the St. Louis region. O’Reilly Build ownership sought a succession plan and saw alignment with the culture and values at Russell. The two companies both uphold a family-first culture and have worked on similar project types, including senior living, housing, and hospitality.
“We are thrilled to continue the O’Reilly Build legacy with their team, clients, and trade partners,” Caitlin Russell, Russell President, shared about the acquisition. “O’Reilly team members joining Russell fits with our continued growth strategy to hire great talent and build relationships alongside them.”
