Ribbon Cutting: Active Endeavors at Iowa River Landing
Active Endeavors celebrated the grand opening of its new store in Coralville, IA with a ribbon-cutting on Thursday, November 3rd. The company recently moved their original downtown Iowa City location to join other local and well-known retailers at Iowa River Landing in Coralville, IA.
Incorporating key elements of the brand’s identity was essential to the owner. Russell worked with Active Endeavors and Streamline Architects and Artisans to design and build the space to showcase the brand’s passion and love of the outdoors.
The site was selected for its six enormous windows that flood the space with natural light. Locally procured materials were selected to bring the outdoors into the space including 2,000 lb stone boulders that were mined and handpicked from Hahn Quarry in Galena IL., live edge cherry kiln dried and assemble at Priester Nursery in Long Grove, IA, and custom glulam beams sourced and fabricated by Signature Big Timbers in West Liberty, IA.
