Congresswoman Miller-Meeks Visits UnityPoint Health-Trinity Muscatine Mulberry Health Clinic
On Monday, July 24th, Iowa congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks visited the construction site of the UnityPoint Health-Trinity Muscatine Mulberry Health Clinic in Muscatine. Miller-Meeks played a pivotal role in supporting the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine’s request for $3 million in Federal Community Project Funding, which was granted to the UnityPoint Health-Trinity Muscatine Mulberry Health Clinic.
Construction started on the new clinic shortly after a groundbreaking ceremony that was held on June 14, 2023, and is expected to be completed in the fall of 2024. The existing clinic, which is located next to the job site, remains open to serve the community.
The new clinic offers a contemporary and versatile environment that caters to the needs of both healthcare professionals and patients. The floor plan aims to enhance patient care by facilitating efficient monitoring and seamless communication among care providers. The clinic will have room for 24 practitioners’ offices, including pediatrics, gynecology, family medicine, and internal medicine. These advanced facilities are expected to attract and retain top-tier healthcare professionals, ensuring a sustained delivery of high-quality primary healthcare services to the Muscatine community.
In attendance during the Congresswoman’s visit were members of the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine, UnityPoint Health-Trinity Muscatine, Russell, and many of the donors that contributed to the UnityPoint Health -Trinity Muscatine Mulberry Health Clinic. This investment in the Muscatine Community will engage over 140 different craftsmen from more than 30 companies during the 17-month project.
Russell is proud to provide construction management services on this project that enhances access to high-quality healthcare services for the Muscatine community.
