welcome: new team members!

We are thrilled to have welcomed six new team members in Quarter 3 of 2023! 

TOM BANTA – Director of Business Development

Tom Banta joined Russell as Director of Business Development in August. Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and has over 27 years of experience in development. In his new role, Tom is charged with connecting Russell to Iowa City businesses and growing our presence in the region. Tom will lead business development efforts by generating strategy plans and building relationships to foster growth in the market. He will develop the action plan for expansion and collaborate with operational project leaders to pursue strategic opportunities. 

CHRIS RYMARS – Superintendent

Chris Rymars joined Russell in the Quad Cities office as Superintendent in September. Chris has over 26 years of experience in the construction industry. In his role as Superintendent, Chris is responsible for day-to-day on-site activities including the coordination of trade partners, schedule control, and resolution of any on-site challenges that may arise. 

SETH STETZEL – Field Engineer

Seth Stetzel joined Russell in the Quad Cities office as a Field Engineer in September. Seth holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies. In his new role, Seth will provide technical support, troubleshoot, and offer on-site assistance on project job sites, working closely with the project manager, engineers, and construction teams.

JACOB FIER – Assistant Controller

Jacob Fier joined Russell in the Quad Cities office as Assistant Controller. Jacob holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and has over seven years in the construction industry. In his new role, Jacob will assist with the management of the accounting department, prepare financial statements, and review information for accuracy.

REED NELSEN – Field Engineer

Reed Nelsen joined Russell in the Quad Cities office as a Field Engineer in September. Reed has over five years of experience in the construction industry. In his new role, Reed will provide support on the job site, troubleshoot any challenges that arise, and work closely with the project manager, engineers, and construction teams.

NADA STONEBRAKER– Real Estate Accountant

Nada Stonebraker joined Russell in the Quad Cities office as a Real Estate Accountant in September. Nada holds a Bachelor’s degree in Ag Business. In her new role, Nada will handle accounting tasks for Russell’s real estate and development department.
