welcome: new team members

We are thrilled to have welcomed 17 new team members in Quarter 2 of 2023! 

MIKE ERNSTER – Senior Project Engineer

Mike Ernster rejoined Russell in the Quad Cities office as a Senior Project Manager in April. After his initial 16 years at Russell, Mike departed in 2016 and spent seven years at Palmer College, managing over $73 million in projects across the college’s three locations. Mike brings over 36 years of experience in construction project management and has helped build projects across the Quad Cities for such notable clients as Black Hawk College, Augustana College, Monmouth College, Deere & Company, and the Rock Island Arsenal.
 

NICK NORASINH – Senior Project Manager

Nick Norasinh joined Russell in the Quad Cities office as a Senior Project Manager in April. With over 25 years of industry experience, Nick earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Nick is passionate about cultivating a safety-first culture and fostering stakeholder relationships. 

TONY LATORIA – Pre-Construction Executive

Tony Latoria joined Russell in the Quad Cities office as a Pre-Construction Executive in April. Tony brings to the team over 18 years of experience with projects of all sizes and scopes in the agricultural, commercial, educational, healthcare, and industrial market sectors. In his new role, Tony is engaged in the pre-construction planning phases to provide accurate and reliable cost opinions and scheduling management decisions on all projects.  A graduate of Iowa State University, Tony holds a degree in Construction Engineering.

JOSH KOVAC– Project Manager

Josh Kovac joined Russell in the Quad Cities office as a Project Manager in April. With over 23 years of experience in various market segments, Josh will be responsible for cost estimate preparation, overall project organization, project management, budget analysis, and schedule management through contract closeout.

JEFF BERTELSEN– Superintendent

Jeff Bertelsen joined Russell in the Quad Cities office as a Superintendent in May. Jeff has a degree in Applied Science in Construction from Black Hawk College and over 28 years of industry experience.  Jeff is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of projects and collaborating with all other team members. 

JILLIAN HUMBOLT – Project Engineer

Jillian Humbolt joined Russell’s St. Louis office as a Project Engineer in May.  Jillian graduated from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies, Specializing in Construction Management and Operations and was previously a Project Management intern at Russell. 

CAMPBELL MALLAK– Project Engineer

Campbell Mallak joined Russell in the Davenport office as a Project Engineer in May. Campbell graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Construction Engineering. In his role, Campbell plans, budgets, and organizes personnel for projects to ensure that they are are as safe and efficient as possible. 

ERIK STENZEL – Field Safety Manager

Erik Stenzel joined Russell in the Davenport office as a Field Safety Manager in June. Erik graduated from Illinois State University where he studied Occupational Safety and Health. In his new role, Erik will be responsible for overseeing jobsites to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. 

JUSTIN SCHWALLIE – Project Engineer

Justin Schwallie joined Russell’s Davenport office as a Project Engineer in June. Justin graduated from University of Wisconsin Platteville where he earned two Bachelor’s of Science Degrees in Construction Management and Construction Safety Management and was previously a Project Management intern at Russell. 

GARRETT WILLEY – Project Engineer

Garrett Willey joined Russell’s Quad Cities office as a Project Engineer in June. Garrett was a Project Management Intern with Russell before he graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering with an emphasis in Building. In his Project Engineering role, Garrett will contribute to the successful planning, execution, and completion of construction projects.

TONY ZINDEL – Assistant Superintendent 

Tony Zindel joined Russell in the Quad Cities office as an Assistant Superintendent in June. Tony has over 10 years of experience in the construction industry. In his new role, Tony will be responsible for the day to day on-site activities including: coordination of subcontractors, schedule control, and identification and resolution of any on-site challenges.

MORGAN WENOS – Pre-Construction Engineer/Pre-Construction Coordinator

Morgan Wenos joined Russell’s St. Louis office as a Pre-Construction Engineer/Pre-Construction Coordinator in June. Morgan graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Science and has two years of construction experience. In her current role, she will be involved with estimating, collaborating with the design team, and assisting with the bid process. 

MARIANNE ROBERTS – Project Coordinator

Marianne Roberts joined Russell in the St. Louis office as a Project Coordinator in June. Marianne graduated from Stevens Institute of Business and Arts in Interior Design and has over 25 years of experience. In her role, Marianne will be an important role in supporting the planning, execution, and monitoring of various aspects of a project


SEAN M. WATERS  – Project Manager

Sean M. Waters joined Russell in the Kansas City office as a Project Manager in June. Sean brings with him extensive experience in the construction industry, with over 10 years of expertise and a Bachelor of Science in Technology, Construction Management from Pittsburg State. In his role as Project Manager, Sean will lead the execution, planning, and collaborative efforts with team members to ensure the successful completion of projects. 


MIKE BRITT – Superintendent

Mike Britt joined Russell in the Quad Cities office as a Superintendent in June. Mike brings over 32 years of experience. In his role as Superintendent, he will oversee and manage all aspects of the job site for successful execution. 



RAYLEE GLENN – Director of First Impressions

Raylee Glenn joined Russell in the Quad Cities office as a Director of First Impressions in June. With her excellent customer service, communication, and coordination skills, Raylee plays a vital role in creating a welcoming experience for visitors, clients, and employees when they first call or enter the Russell office.
