We are so excited to announce the addition of 14 new team members over the last few months in both our Davenport and St. Louis office!

Kyle Vahling
Project Engineer

Kyle joined Russell in the St. Louis office as a Project Engineer in April. He graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and a minor in Business Administration. He has 3 years of experience working for a general contractor. He is a member of the Construction Leadership Council committee with AGCMO.

Taylor Moon
Virtual Design and Construction Manager

Taylor joined Russell in the St. Louis office as a Virtual Design and Construction Manager in May. He graduated from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture. He brings 10 years of experience working for architecture firms, designing in markets from corporate real estate to government and judicial buildings, senior living, hospitality, and science and tech industries.

Jim Austin
Regional Safety Manager

Jim joined Russell in the St. Louis office in May as a Regional Safety Manager. He brings over 20 years of construction safety management experience across a range of industries including healthcare, highway, multi-family, and education buildings. He is involved in several organizations, including the AGC, National Safety Council, and the American Society of Safety Professionals. He graduated from Columbia Southern University in Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health with a concentration in Construction Safety Management.

Byron Conley
Project Engineer

Byron joined Russell in the St. Louis office in June as a Project Engineer. He received a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology with minors in Communication Studies and Leadership Communication. In college, he held the CEO position in the campus organization that managed the University General Shop, Machine Shop, 3D Print Lab, and collaborative build space.

Cameron Beattie
Preconstruction Executive

Cameron joined Russell in the St. Louis office as a Preconstruction Executive in June. He has been in the construction field since 1992 when he started working in the heavy industrial field, mainly water/wastewater treatment plants. He graduated from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

Lane Parker
Senior Project Manager

Lane joined Russell in the St. Louis office as a Senior Project Manager in July. He received his bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri.  After graduation, he went to work full time as an estimator with an excavation and utility company where he worked for 5 ½ years before moving to St. Louis as a project manager with a larger general contractor. He also earned his master’s degree in Administrative Studies-Project Management and his Ph.D. in Organization and Management with emphasis in Leadership. He has been teaching college courses online since 2010 and currently teaches graduate school courses for the Project Management master’s program at Missouri State University.

Dan Sprott
Project Engineer

Dan joined the Russell ranks in the Davenport office as a Project Engineer in March. As a graduate from Indiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Dan brings 18 years of experience including carpentry and project management to the team.

 

Jesse Smith
Estimator

Jesse joined Russell in the Davenport office as an Estimator in April. He graduated from Bradley University with a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and has over 15 years of experience in the construction industry. He is a veteran of the Illinois Air National Guard.

Max Erpelding
Project Engineer 

Max joined Russell in the Davenport office as a Project Engineer in April. He brings a record of success overseeing all phases of multi-million-dollar construction projects for clients in various market sectors. His experience includes estimating and managing projects to ensure project design, budget, and schedule are met. Max has worked as a Foreman, Project Manager Intern, and Project Engineer which gives him a unique and valuable perspective on any job site.

Mike McLean
Superintendent

Mike joined Russell in the Davenport office as a Superintendent in June. He brings four years of experience as a carpenter’s apprentice and 28 years as a union carpenter.

Keshawn Pegues
RFM-Grounds Maintenance 

Keshawn joined Russell in the Davenport Office as RFM – Grounds Maintenance in June. He is a graduate of Iowa Lakes Community College and is currently continuing his education.

Nate Lueders
Project Executive

Nate joined Russell in the Davenport office as a Project Executive in July. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville with a bachelor’s degree in Building Construction Management. While in college, he worked as a drafting assistant for the facilities management department as well as a carpenter for a residential contractor.

Nathan Selby
Project Engineer

Nathan joined Russell in the Davenport office as a Project Engineer in July. He graduated from Illinois State University with his associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He spent a few years remodeling houses during college and then moved into managing the construction of custom homes. He has worked for the last four years as a project manager for a local general contractor where he assisted in building water treatment plants and worked as the industrial project manager handling construction at multiple nuclear power stations.

Drew Curtis
Marketing Strategist

Drew joined Russell in the Davenport office as a Marketing Strategist in August. He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in History and a Journalism minor. After college, he spent a few years working as a journalist and sports editor before getting married and returning to the Quad Cities. Before coming to Russell, he spent three years at IMEG in their marketing department.
