Russell successfully delivered a 43,000 s.f. addition, expanding the school’s capabilities and enhancing both academic and extracurricular experiences. The project features a 626-seat performing arts theater, providing a professional-grade venue for school and community performances. This modern space provides acoustics, visibility, and functionality, creating an exceptional environment for theater productions, concerts, and assemblies.
A FEMA-rated storm shelter, which also serves as the band room, was built to provide a safe refuge for students and staff during severe weather. This dual-purpose space was designed to meet FEMA safety standards while ensuring an exceptional rehearsal environment for musicians.
The addition also includes a dedicated art room, offering students a creative space equipped for a variety of artistic disciplines. New administration offices were incorporated to streamline operations, improving accessibility and functionality for faculty and visitors. A second-floor flex space provides additional versatility, accommodating collaborative learning, meetings, or future instructional needs as the school continues to grow.
