Making a Difference for the Children’s Therapy Center

Children’s Therapy Center Bass Tournament

Saturday morning was an early one for many of our Russell Team Members – they were getting up to participate in a charity Bass Tournament in support of the Children’s Therapy Center.

Fun fact: The tournament is the longest-running charity bass tournament in the country!

The Children’s Therapy Center, a Quad Cities organization, is an outpatient pediatric rehabilitation center that provides physical, occupational, speech and feeding therapy. While they serve all children, they are a major provider of services for children from birth to age five. They have been around over 70 years, and their mission is:

To continue to be the preeminent provider of therapy services to children with developmental disabilities and delays in order to help them achieve their highest level of independence.

This is the first year Russell contributed to their Bass Tournament fundraiser, and we sure are glad we did. Through a variety of efforts – branding & selling gear, selling pizzas, hosting a Friday night kids’ fishing derby, reaching out to valued partners like Tri-City Electric and JC Landscaping & Maintenance – we were able to fundraise and add to the charity’s bottom line of $15,000! Overall the event brought in $40,000!!

We had such a fun day fishing and are so happy with the outcome for this worthy organization.
