Frangipane Named Top 50 Technology Adoption Leaders of 2018

BuiltWorlds has named Rebecca Frangipane, Russell’s Director of Virtual Construction, to its list of Top 50 Technology Adoption Leaders of 2018.

This elite list of individuals was selected because they have taken on newly created leadership roles in architecture, engineering, construction and real estate firms — in order to help champion and implement emerging technology in their organization.

As Director of Virtual Construction at Russell, Becca’s goal is to provide a platform and the support for teams to communicate, visualize, and identify operational improvements throughout the entire project lifecycle. To do this, she leads the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) team at Russell in using the latest technology to analyze model data and assist with project phasing, spatial planning, constructability, quantities, scheduling, prefabrication, operations and maintenance. These VDC processes, in conjunction with one another, ensure the most efficient construction project execution.

“I believe using Virtual Design and Construction technology-based solutions ensures a certainty in project outcomes. By providing a platform for teams to communicate, visualize, and identify operational improvements, VDC fosters a more collaborative environment than ever before. I love helping teams build the building before its built, albeit virtually,” says Frangipane.

Not only was she selected as a top tech leader, Becca just returned from her 7th Autodesk’s “Inside the Factory” event, this time in Shanghai, China! This is an invitation only event held three times a year with 16 customers where the next generation of Revit software is reviewed, and attendees get a chance to influence the direction of the products they use every day.

“Being invited to Inside the Factory is such an honor, because not only do we get to test and provide feedback on the latest preview of Revit, but the breakout sessions and brainstorming with the Autodesk teams and other Autodesk customers is top notch and compares to no other event,” says Frangipane. “It’s really exciting to see the topics discussed at Inside the Factory get implemented in future releases of Revit!”

Congratulations on these well-deserved honors, Becca. We couldn’t be happier to have you on the team!
