Building a Legacy of Support for Veterans
At Russell, we take immense pride and honor in celebrating the brave men and women who have served our country. Our commitment to supporting veterans is deeply rooted in our dedication to delivering projects for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), specifically Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). These opportunities are particularly rewarding because it ensures veterans have access to essential healthcare services within their communities.
VA CBOCs align seamlessly with Russell’s core values, embodying a strong sense of community, genuine appreciation for people, and a steadfast commitment to safety – both physical and mental. By constructing these clinics, Russell is honored to play a pivotal role in helping to make healthcare services accessible to veterans, particularly those in rural and remote areas far from larger VA Hospitals.
According to the US Department of Veterans Affairs, the VA system includes 1,321 facilities that work to meet the health needs of over nine million veterans enrolled in the VA healthcare program each year.
To date, Russell has successfully completed 10 VA CBOCs across the nation, located in Iowa, Nebraska, North Carolina, Kentucky, Michigan, and Illinois.
Currently, a new outpatient clinic in Baraboo, Wisconsin is under construction, with completion slated for Summer 2024. The 10,000 s.f. facility will house numerous services, all designed to enhance local veterans’ access to healthcare, including:
- 10 exam rooms
- Physical therapy space
- Specialized women’s exam room
- State-of-the-art laboratory
- Telehealth space
Once the clinic is complete, up to 5,000 veterans in Baraboo and surrounding counties will have access to a wide range of services including:
- Primary Care
- Physical & Occupational Therapies
- Nutrition
- Whole Health
- Mental Health
- Podiatry Nail Care
- Telehealth
- Social Work
- Laboratory Blood Draw Services
