Safety should be more than simply writing a plan for compliance reasons. At Russell, each and every employee embraces goals for a “Zero Injury” work environment and takes pride in proactively participating in our prevention and safety programs.

Another indicator of outstanding safety performance lies in our Experience Modification Rate (EMR), which reflects the severity and frequency of workplace injuries and illnesses. Companies with an EMR below the industry average of 1.00 have demonstrated a history of low losses and receive the benefit of lower insurance costs compared to those Companies with an EMR at or above 1.00. At .72, we have significantly lower insurance costs, which is a benefit that is proudly passed on directly to our clients.
