Highest Risk Control Award
For the third year in a row Russell Construction was awarded the Highest Risk Control Safety Award for 2008. This award was created by Captive Insurance Group (NCI) and is based on a comprehensive risk control assessment of workplace and construction site safety practices.
In 2006, Russell shared this honor, as well as a "traveling trophy," with nine other companies. 2007 brought Russell a first place finish based on the lowest loss ratio of any of the 78 Captive Members over the previous two years. In 2008, 87 contractors around the United States competed for this honor; however, only nine met all of Captive’s top benchmarks for Safety and Risk Management. With a nine way tie at the top, Captive examined the previous two years of losses and Russell Construction had the lowest loss ratio hands down.
"Russell Construction continues to raise the bar for workplace safety," stated David Still, NCI Safety consultant. "Construction companies typically have higher injury rates. Russell takes a different approach and engages every employee to establish a company wide commitment to safety."
At Russell our safety program takes into account not only safe work practices for construction personnel, but the safety, health and well-being of our client’s workforces and the public. We are committed to providing a safe, compliant and worry-free environment throughout project completion. SAFE. It’s how we do business.
