Jim Russell, President & CEO
Jim’s entrepreneurial energy, innovative spirit and community mindset have allowed him to expand Russell’s development capabilities, and provide total community development solutions. Focusing on the intricacies of real estate development, financing, leasing and property management, he leads a full-time property management team that locates and manages 530,000 s.f. of real estate property in 15 facilities in the Midwest. His activity on numerous boards and non-profit organizations give him unique insight in aligning the best solution for total community benefit. He has given countless presentations on corporate growth and strategic planning processes, conceptualizing and implementing development agreements, and corporate recruitment strategies.

Kristopher Marwin, Vice President - Healthcare Development
Kris has been with Russell Construction for five years and has 20 years of experience in healthcare and nursing home administration along with capital project development across the country. As a previous hospital administrator, he understands the challenges that healthcare executives face and can guide the process from strategic planning through design and construction. He holds Bachelor of Science in Health Systems Management, Master in Health Administration and Master in Business Administration degrees. Membership presentations that Kris has given include the Iowa Hospital Association, Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network and Ohio Hospital Association.
Sustainable Design & Construction
Tom Fennelly, Senior Vice President
As a board member of the United States Green Building Council – Iowa Chapter, Tom is on the leading edge of sustainable design and construction initiatives. He directs Russell’s education and healthcare teams, and leads corporate efforts to ‘go green’. Tom also directed the team that built James Van Allen Elementary School, the first Leadershhip in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) school in the state of Iowa. Most recently, he rallied behind our project managers to ensure their status as LEED Accredited Professionals; a successful endeavor resulting in six additional accreditations.
