Caitlin Russell Honored as one of YWCA's 100 Years Top 100 Honorees
Jan 08, 2018
We’d like to congratulate Vice President, Caitlin Russell, on being honored as one of the YWCA’s 100 Years Top 100 Honorees.
The YWCA of the Quad Cities is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. They are on a mission to level the playing field for every child and family in the Quad Cities. For the past 100 years, the YWCA of the Quad Cities has been serving the needs of children and their families and serve over 10,000 youth and women in the community each year.
To celebrate their 100
anniversary, they recognized 100 individuals (living or deceased) from a pool of over 200 nominations that they felt demonstrated leadership in one of the following categories: racial justice and civil rights, empowerment and economic advancement, and health and safety. The 100 Years, 100 Honored event was held on November 3, 2017, and included guest speaker Dr. Jill Biden.
Caitlin was nominated for her significant contributions to the community through empowerment and economic advancement. She joined the Russell team in 2009 as a project engineer and has transitioned to real estate development leadership over the last few years. This past July she was promoted to Vice President. Caitlin received her undergraduate degree from Arizona State University in Construction Management, and earned a Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Iowa’s Tippie School of Business. She also holds an Iowa Real Estate Broker license and is an accredited Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM). She proudly serves on the board of directors of United Way, Junior Achievement of the Heartland, and the Genesis Foundation. Caitlin and her husband Nic Brandt have two wonderful children, Theo (1 ½) and Eden (7 months).
